Keeping the dirt smell away in indoor gardens

Some of us with indoor gardens whether big or small may at times during spells of high humidity smell the earth. Literally when you go into the area of the indoor garden you will smell the smell of freshly dug earth;  on Landscape Design Mountain View. This is caused by certain bacteria in the soil you use that become active when there is a change in the moisture content of the air. And this change in moisture content happens at either end of extreme temperatures whether it be very cold or very hot and humid. The easiest way to deal with the trapped earth smell is to open your windows to balance the moisture content of both indoor and outdoor environments. An added remedy is to distil one part ammonia in ten parts water and spray the surface soil of the garden and the surrounding air around it. Lacking ammonia you can use one part water with three parts household grade vinegar.
