Kansas Biggest Book Sales

Are you a Kansas tenant looking for some discounted used media? Every month libraries across the state host media sales that sell used books and other used media to raise money for their library. The books generally come from donations and items pulled out of circulation. These media sales represent an excellent opportunities to find excellent values. Prices usually range from $1-3 for most books and other media. Listed below is a list of some of the larger used book sales in Kansas:

Friends of the Lawrence Public Library Book Sale

This sale is held twice a year, typically in April and late September / early October. This sale is one of the larger ones in Kansas with over 50,000 items on sale (on average). This sale features prices from $1 to $10. Sunday is usually ½ price day; Monday and Tuesday are bag sale days. Any other days after Tuesday are free days.

Friends of Ottawa Library Book Sale

This sale is held monthly. It is usually held on the first Saturday of every month. The sale usually has about 10,000 books for sale. The prices usually range from 50 cents to $1 per item.

Fall Festival Book Sale sponsored by the Friends of Whitewater Memorial Library

This sale is held during the annual Fall Festival in Whitewater Kansas. The sale is a smaller one ( only 1,000 items), but it makes up in size with the other events held during the same time. The books at this sale range from 25 cents to $2 and sometimes they will have magazines to sell at the sale.
