We may have been victims of fraud in one way or the other without us realizing it until it is too late. When that happens, all you can do is look back at the chronology of events leading to the crime. You do this with the hope that you can trace the signs that you are already being defrauded and probably try to learn from them. But for insurance companies, steps are being taken to prevent from losing millions of dollars from fraudulent insurance claims. They even spend so much on this anti-fraud measures because once they let their guard down, they stand to lose more. We know that car insurance fraud is probably one of the common crime committed. Insurance agencies do not just create an anti-fraud detection system to combat this crime but for the other frauds as well. They create a task force or unit to do in depth investigations leading to the insurance claim. This unit is oftentimes manned by former law enforcement individuals who have extensive experiences when it comes to chasing after the bad guys. Some companies engage in other ways of combating frauds hoping that in the days to come, people will be discouraged from ever committing one.
