I absolutely adore mexican food. I truly could eat it for every meal if I was able to cook it for myself, but unfortunately I am not able to cook it. I ended up trying out Rosaritos Mexican Food and I am so happy that I found it because the food is delicious and extremely affordable. From now on any time that I am craving Mexican food I will definitely be visiting this restaurant. My favorite dish that I have had so far is just a basic burrito, but when you have one at Rosarito’s it seems like so much more than a burrito because they stuff it so full of delicious things. I highly recommend that you go and try it.

Hoffman’s Bistro in Santa Cruz- Not a Restaurant I Wanna Try Again
Wednesday, November 24th, 2010I understand most owners of fine dining restaurants (particularly French ones) believe they are god’s gift, but here, they take it to another level. I’m having Hoffman’s Restaurants Santa Cruz cater my wedding. During the tasting, my seared medallion beef was BLOODY rare. Don’t get me wrong, I can appreciate a good prime steak and usually take mine MEDIUM rare. I don’t consume a lot of red meat and I notice beef doesn’t always sit well in my stomach after a heavy meal. I even had a bad stomach ache after my tasting and wasn’t given the option to request how I wanted my steak cooked. I decided to still go with Hoffman’s Restaurants Santa Cruz because I felt at the time it was excellent overall.
However, to be safe and since I knew my guests would not have the option to request how they’d like their steak, I asked the owner of Hoffman’s restaurants Santa Cruz if he could prepare the steak medium rare since rare doesn’t always work for everyone. At that point I received a snappy response. He stated I shouldn’t make a blanket request for all my guests based on my tasting experience — which I thought was the most bizarre remark considering I was merely airing on the side of caution and since it was in fact MY wedding, shouldn’t I have every right to make this type of request? I was not seeking any sort of apology but the owner refused to acknowledge that my illness had any possibility to do with the steak. I would cancel it it weren’t too late. There are plenty of other catering companies and I would have preferred to have worked with one not this snobby from Santa Cruz.
